Indian Country + Pony Express Roadtrip
I'm going to Sunnyvale CA for summer internship very soon (Sunnyvale is next to Santa Clara, which is in turn next to San Jose). While I have driven from Austin TX to California for 3 times already, this time I am going to take it off the beaten path.

- Palo Duro Canyon State Park, TX (optional) - The grand canyon of Texas
- Great Sand Dunes National Park and Preserve, CO - An area of sand dunes larger than Austin (mind being white-blinded, dehydrated and lost in dunes)
- Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park, CO - The deepest canyon in Colorado
- Colorado National Monument, CO - Peculiar rock formation
- Arches National Park, UT - Overhanging arches bright orange at sunset
- Canyonlands National Park, UT - Old meandering Colorado river
- Natural Bridges National Monument and White Canyon, UT (optional) - Explore the natural bridges and slot canyons of Utah (mind the flash floods)
- Capitol Reef National Park, UT - One of the least visited (hence best preserved) national parks in US
- Great Basin National Park, NV - Snow covered mountain, lush forest, and stalactite caves all in one park
- Lake Tahoe, NV/CA (optional) - Water sports (in summer)
Cooking | US$100 |
Camping | US$100 |
One-way air ticket | US$200 |
